The following instructions will provide your company with turnkey information necessary to, determine what options Battery Solutions will provide, on how to, collect, package, ship and recycle the waste dry cell batteries that you generate.
The first step is to decide on the appropriate method of shipping, either by pails, boxed pallets, or drums, which is determined by the amount of dry cell batteries you generate. Once volume is determined Battery Solutions will give you a recycling price quote, for all the different types of chemistries of dry cell batteries and the transportation cost. Keep in mind that our turnkey system only requires you to collect the batteries, and call Battery Solutions. We will provide containers, dry cell battery packaging instructions, labeling, shipping papers, and arrange for the pickup of your batteries in all 50 United States.
· Please look at our PAIL MAIL PROGRAM below for shipping our 5 gallon collection containers from anywhere in the country. These containers are all prelabled with a prepaid return FedEx ground label.
Once you determine the estimated quantity, of how many pounds of batteries you would generate, go to our E-Z quote form to get you special pricing quote. With this information we can see if you qualify for a volume discount.
Large volumes that exceed the PAIL MAIL PROGRAM would be shipped by a Battery Solutions carrier and also qualify for a freight discount.

HOW IT WORKS!
This program has been designed to help you with your battery recycling needs. Each of our containers will have a "Dry Cell Battery Recycling" and a "Start Accumulation" labels on them; this complies with the Universal Waste Rule. Simply, write in the start date for when batteries are placed in containers.
Once the battery pail is full, secure the lid with packing tape to ensure that it does not open during shipping. Please note that BSI requires that all lithium battery terminals be taped. Your other battery chemistry types do not require their terminals taped.
When pails are ready for shipment call Battery Solutions, Inc. to get a batch tracking number assigned. This is in compliance with the Universal Waste Law. Please let us know if you would like us to make the pickup arrangements for you using our PRP Program, which are pre-paid Fedex Ground Shipping Labels.
Once pails arrive at Battery Solutions, Inc. the batteries will be sorted according to their chemistries and recycled and the empty pails will be returned to you with new labels.
